GLOUCESTERSHIRE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

NAOMI & BARNEY

Vintage Gloucestershire Wedding
The celebration continues…

GLOUCESTERSHIRE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER. The wedding celebrations continued after Naomi and Barney’s incredible day in Marylebone, London where they were married. Just two days later it was time to party! Barney’s home town of Horsely in Gloucestershire was the setting, and one of the most unique days I’ve photographed so far on my journey as a wedding photographer.

St. Martins Parish Church was a rather interesting place to have a dinner party and dance party but somehow, it all came together.

With the help of friends they transformed the church into a great vintage style venue to nicely fit the 170 guests (ok, it was a bit tight with all of my camera gear too!).

What do you call a church wedding, that’s not a church wedding?

The church is the heart of the community and serves not just as a place of worship but as the local school hall and local venue for events. This was no church wedding, the event was nonetheless full of love and joy as Naomi and Barney greeted their guests as they sat down to listen to the couple exchange vows, friends gave speeches and everyone sang ‘The Bear Necessities’.

After dinner and as the alcohol was nicely flowing, Naomi – with a live band sang some amazing jazz numbers and then got down off the stage to have the first dance with Barney, a very well choreographed routine which could see them competing in ‘Strictly Come Dancing!’.

The party followed and the guests got into the groove with all the classic tunes to get you off your seat, I grabbed my shots of the party, dancing with the guests, what a great day. Thanks again Naomi and Barney for inviting me to shoot your very special two days.
